QuestionHow many hours can you be using it before it runs out of battery

- Answer When not gaming I have seen about 4.5, when gaming full throttle around an hour. The processor alone in this laptop consumes over three times the power of a standard laptop, with the added consumption of the GPU battery life tanks.

QuestionIs the keyboard backlit?I know the picture shows that the keyboard is backlit, but is this exact model from best buy backlit? Also, under specs, why does it say it has an optical drive when the Lenovo Y50 has no optical drive?

- Answer The keyboard has a very nice red back light. Also, the laptop does NOT have a built in CD drive, however, it comes with a Lenovo external CD drive.

QuestionCan this handle drafting?Can this laptop handle high performance drafting programs? Can it also handle very high graphic games or other programs that have high graphics?

- Answer This laptop is able to perform any and all high-end tasks that require strong CPU's. I've never had to overclock it to do something, and even when using a lot of memory it stays cool, as to not burn your lap. This is a beautiful machine, and even though the price is high, it's worth it. Much better than the new Asus model in my opinion.

- Answer Yes, by yourself and if you are in front of it. Tilting the screen or viewing from an angle and you'll lose the picture.

- Answer No, cooling is still too much of an issue at this point in time. The Thinkpad Yoga has an 840m though.

- Answer No. Steer clear. Do a search for Lenovo Y50 hinge problem. Seven pages of unhappy customers who've had theirs break between 3-5 months. Count me as one of them. It is cheap junk.

- Answer Yes, you can upgrade the hard drive to an SSD, however you'll either need to find a program which allows the transfer of Windows 8.1 and move it to the new drive, OR do a clean installation of Windows 8.1 using an ISO or DVD (make sure you obtain the product code before you replace it.. just in case the BIOS does not communicate). You can use a program called "Magic Jelly Bean" to find the product code for Windows 8.1 Core. Both slots are currently being used, looks like there is dual 4GB memory sticks in there. You can remove them and replace it with dual 8GB memory sticks to get to 16GB.
