It's 2.6 usually, but when under heavy load it'll overclock to 3.6 and use hyperthreading to simulate a deca-core automatically. But really, you'll never need it to. Quad-core at 2.6 is already a lot especially with 16gb of ram. You'll need to be doing serious work to get it to do that, but when it does, things are near instantaneous.
