“Can You or Can You Not Use External Drive? Am totally confused. There is a question here whether you can use an external CD/DVD drive. An apparent owner of the machine says yes, she/he has one. But the Lenovo rep says no. So what is the correct answer?”

• Technically you can use an external CD/DVD drive to archive files, like any external USB-based hard drive. There are some major limitations to using a Chromebook external DVD or CD drive. Music files and commercial movies are not usable, as the drivers for these playable files, cannot be installed on a Chromebook.
