• Mine came pre-loaded with the "PowerDVD 12" player software program.. It opened by default when I put a DVD movie in the disc drive.

• The CD/DVD software is the basic software that comes with Windows 10 Home. You can read and write to CDs and DVDs. You can play commercial music CDs but you will need to purchase Media Player software to play commercial DVD movies.
