• The RAM has to match, i.e., all the cards must be DDR3. You can remove the 4GB card that is in the system and replace with two 8GB for a maximum of 16GB (the system maximum RAM). You can also add one 8GB DDR3 card to the 4GB RAM for a total of 12GB. Finally you could use one card of 16GB IF you can find a 16GB card that will fit within this system. It would be easier to reach 16GB by just using 2 8GB DDR3 cards.
