QuestionHow long does the factory warranty last? I am an A+ Certified Technician so I will be replacing the HD myself. Is the HD soldered? If not what are the specifications? Also, is that a CD drive I see?

- Answer The Lenovo IdeaPad 330-17 laptop comes with a limited 1-year manufacturer's warranty for OEM issues. The 2.5" 7mm SATA hard drive is not soldered. Model number 81DM001UUS does have an optical drive.

- Answer If the battery will not hold a charge, you can have a certified maintenance person replace the battery or do so yourself if the warranty isn't important. - Answer No. In order to do serious gaming, you would need a thunderbolt connection to use a quality external graphics adapter.

- Answer There is one RAM memory slot within this configuration. This device ships with 4GB of RAM soldered to the motherboard and 4GB of RAM in the one RAM memory slot. Please keep in mind, this model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Your certified technician can replace the 4GB stick of DDR4-2133MHz RAM with an 8GB stick of RAM, for a system RAM total of 12GB.
