    • Answer The Desktop comes with 4gb RAM, utilizing only one of two available RAM slots. Therefore, to have a total of 16gb RAM, you can remove the 4gb and use a single 16gb module in one slot, or add two 8gb modules. When upgrading my system, I used "Crucial" brand, but there are many other brands of RAM that also work very well.

In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. There is also a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection installed on this computer. You will need to uninstall McAfee before installing any other virus protection. The McAfee version is the only active virus protection at initial startup and activation of Windows 10. This will continue for the 30-day trial period. Then you can purchase a subscription to McAfee, uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender protection or install your own choice of 3rd party virus protection - Just uninstall McAfee before choosing Windows Defender or a 3rd party virus protection as there can only be one active virus protection software on the computer at a time.
