Yes. I use a four port usb hub with external drive and keyboard connected to the hub.

Given the small size of internal storage I created folders for pictures, etc., but also Program Files. If I download something I explicitly tell to save as to the external drive. All software installation is also do using the program files colder on that drive. In this way very little extra gets added to the internal "ssd".km You can add more self-powered drives but remember everything can only max out speed to that of usb2.

If you are already using the USB port you will have to purchase a USB hub to connect an external hard drive to your stick.
