How does this deal with editing documents offline? null

You can't use the Chrome System off line. The whole concept is based on connection to the "cloud". All programs are on the Google Server, in the "Cloud".

II don't think its safe for offline unless saved to portable drive and done at the office in a seriously secure network. otherwise the files are lingering in drive, hopefully they say a secure environment but files of various format extensions have a tendency to leak, from my experience the conveinence of saving to SD or flash is fast and easy.
