“Why is the laptop trackpad not centered on this laptop??”

• It's centered relative to the main keyboard for letters and special characters since that's where the hands spend 99.9% of their time for most people. If it was centered on the whole thing (including the numeric keypad), the user would have to move their hands sideways virtually every time they needed to use the touchpad.

• The Lenovo IdeaPad 15.6-Inch Laptop, model number 81UT00EAUS, ships with a standard QWERTY keyboard and a 10-key numeric pad included. The Touchpad is centered under the QWERTY keys, so that when the typist's hands are in the Home Position on the keys, the typist's hands are centered under the Touchpad for easiest accessibility.
