  • QuestionI recently purchased one of these and was trying to move my files from my old laptop to this one, when I realized the only storage option avaliable was the SSD. Isn't the HDD supposed to be formatted out of the box?

    • Answer I transferred by copying files onto a large enough flash drive (or an external portable drive) snd plugged into usb of laptop and copied files over to the 1TB hard drive. It is formatted NTFS which is what you want. Leave the small solid state drive for the OS and programs.

    • Answer I highly doubt they will sell you a broken or ruined item. Everything is checked before you purchase it. With all deliveries, nothing is guaranteed. I suggest you go into store to purchase, whether it’s new or open box there is always someone to welcome any questions. My purchase was showed to me prior to purchase to ensure that there was no damages to the product. I have had bad experiences buying electronics from other places but never at Best Buy. Just ask the geek squad they are the best to answer questions.

We recommend you check with the manufacturer's web site, for the printer model you are interested in for compatibility with Windows 10 S-Mode. It may be necessary to switch out of S-Mode to Windows 10 Home, depending on the printer model you choose.

    • Answer This system would struggle with that workload. You would need at least 8 cores and 32 GB of RAM. Also you might want a "dedicated" GPU, or A seperate graphics card, some higher end laptops have thoose.

The maximum supported storage configuration for this model is: Up to 2 drives, 1x 2.5" HDD + 1x M.2 2242/2280 SSD, with a maximum storage capacitiy of the solid state drive of 512GB (M.2 2242 SSD up to 512GB or M.2 2280 SSD up to 512GB). There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 included as part of the Windows 10 operating system, which includes the Word APP. In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software. There is also a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection software. There is a Lenovo Utility/maintenance APP included that is free of charge call, Lenovo Vantage. There is no installed email APP. That is installed by the user.
