“Does this laptop have a usb type C port to connect peripherals?”

• It has one USB-C port, but it will not accommodate an external display through this port. You have to use the HDMI. The USB-C port s on the far right in the attached image. From right to left, it's USB-C, HDMI, ethernet, power (occupied with the charger).
