Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between this Legion Pro 5i and the Legion 7i? both have a rtx 5070
Asked by JoseantonioH.
- A:Answer Hey Ricardo, When comparing the Legion Pro 5i and Legion 7i, there's a few things to consider. First, the Legion Pro series is designed to deliver heightened performance over a slimmer design profile due to the systems having a higher wattage TDP and a larger cooling area to compensate for this. The Legion 7i series is designed for more mobile focused users with an elevated design, featuring an aluminum chassis, a thinner profile and is more lightweight (almost a pound less) compared to the Pro 5i, yet it still packs a punch. Also, the Legion 7i features an SD card reader, a camera with IR to support facial recognition for biometric login, a slightly larger internal battery, per-key RGB, and a higher refresh rate display at 240Hz. Hopefully this addresses everything you wanted to know, and please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!

Q: QuestionDoes this laptop allow you to upgrade the RAM? I see it has 2 RAM slots
Asked by JoeysaurusRex.
- A:Answer Hey JoeysaurusRexx, Yes, the system's two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots can be used for memory expansion. Although, to note, the maximum memory supported for this model is 32GB, which is based on the test results with current Lenovo memory offerings. This means that while users may have successfully upgraded their memory to 64GB and that the processor and chipset may handle higher than 32GB of memory, this has not been tested by Lenovo. Q: QuestionCan this laptop be used when plugged in all the time? Would that affect the lifespan of it?
Asked by cube.
- A:Answer Hey cube, We recommend avoiding the behavior of leaving the laptop plugged in to persevere battery health. If you have a desire to do so, please consider enabling battery preservation features like battery threshold in Lenovo Vantage / Legion Space. This allows you to set when the battery will start and stop charging within a certain range to help prevent an accelerated decrease in battery health if plugged in constantly, as the battery cells were meant to be charged and depleted, not consistently charged.
