Q: QuestionDoes the open box(refurbished) laptop still come with a 1-year warranty from Lenovo?
Asked by Shay.
- A:Answer Hey Shay, Yes, open-box items are still eligible for the 1-year manufacturer warranty. If you purchase an open-box item and find that the warranty coverage for that unit is shorter than 12 months, we recommend visiting this Lenovo Support webpage: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/servicerequest?ProblemType=/warranty/, selecting “Warranty start date update”, supplying the respective information, as once given a proof of purchase, the support team may be able to set your manufacturer warranty start date to align with the date of purchase and the length of coverage to its respective duration. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!

Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer Hey Mike, We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Legion Pro 7i regarding Wi-Fi connectivity. There's likely to be a conflict with Windows updates and Wi-Fi drivers. We recommend starting by ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates via Windows and Lenovo Vantage. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well. If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem. Q: QuestionIt’s stated that the battery life is 6.5hrs. I don’t even get close to 1.5hrs on regular web browsing. Do I have a defective battery or else?
Asked by Restitito.
- A:Answer Hey Restitito, The advertised battery life is based on an industry standard testing protocol, with conditions that vary greatly from common use cases for most users. Based on user reviews, the battery life you're experiencing is common, especially if your system isn't set to a quiet/power saving mode with the system's integrated graphics processor (iGPU) being in use instead of the high wattage, RTX dedicated graphics card (dGPU). If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions!

Q: QuestionIs this the top tier flagship model with the 5080? I am interested in buying but want to verify that this is the top tier available.
Asked by Kyle.
- A:Answer Hey Kyle, While this is the Legion Pro 7i configuration with an RTX 5080, based on your request, we wish to share that version of the Legion Pro 7i does not offer the best overall performance or "top tier" of the Legion Pro 7i (16", 10th gen) series that you are after. This is because there is a configuration of the Legion Pro 7i that offers an RTX 5090 GPU, which would increase graphics performance even higher.
