You can add more sticks or upgrade the current two. One thing you must know is that the Lenovo bios does not allow you to enable xmp or change the speed of the memory in the bios to match your new RAM’s speed if it’s anything other than the 3200mhz of the original RAM. If you buy 3600mhz speed it will only run at 3200! The original RAM is single rank, so you could buy 2 additional sticks that are the same as the original. Find the part number and get some on eBay. This doesn’t make your setup faster. You’ll simply have more ram. If you’re maxing out 16gb of ram currently then go for it; If you aren’t I wouldn’t bother. I have 4 sticks of the original ram for a total of 32gb. I’m usually around 12 for gaming. With 30 windows open all streaming YouTube and live tv, plus running a game I can hit 17gb of usage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can add RAM as there are 2 empty slots. My unit has Samsung DDR4 PC3200 16 gig in 2 ( 8 ) gig modules. I can't say if all the Tower 5's have the same brand I'd look for quality memory that you could return if not compatible as I have no clue whose moterboard the system uses. Hope this helps.
