“Would this computer be a good computer to do school work on and watch movies? Do I need to buy some type of Microsoft or does it have everything I would need in it? Also does it come with antivirus protection? This is my first time buying a computer”

Do not buy this one. I bought it for school, work, and fun. It dies very very fast and is very slow. Even though it’s new. If you do buy it, the virus protection came with mine. Hope this helps.

This Dual-Core processor has a base speed of 2.6GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.0GHz. This configuration has 4GB of RAM. It is good with Microsoft Office type programs, internet browsing and other moderate work. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. There is a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365 (as part of Windows 10 operating system) and a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection. If you choose to use either of these programs, you will need to purchase a subscription at the end of the 30-day trail. You do not need to use McAfee Virus Protection software. You can uninstall McAfee and install any 3rd. party virus protection software you choose.
