Will this frame play animated gif file formats? null

No. The Lenovo Smart Frame, model number ZA6G0006US, will only display still images.

Not sure if it was an update but my current display (this model) does indeed play gifs. Can't upload a video here but I just uploaded one and tried it and it worked.
