• Yes it can be turned off and on. Not dimable however.

• Yes it can be turned off and there is 3 settings to the brightness

• Yes. Keyboard backlight can be toggled by hitting Function+Space and brightness is adjusted by hitting Function+up/down

• The light can be switched off. Though it has two brightness levels.
