“When this battery eventually dies in a few years, can the consumer replace it, or does it need to be mailed to a service center for replacement? I want a laptop that I can remove the back and replace a battery myself when the time comes.”

The battery on this device is only replaceable by a certified technician.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The product states that it has a non removable battery. If you wish to replace it then it might need to be sent to the manufacturer. Unless you want replace it yourself by opening the buttom panel with a screw driver. It would take less than half an hour and it's not very difficult to do, and there are many online tutorials as well on how to to this. Also, just as a side note, this is a very powerful computer and works well. Hope this helped!
