There may be a driver update that can correct the bigger/smaller screen issue. Follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for mouse-keyboard driver updates. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make changes or download new software. If the feel of the touchpad does not work for you, you can use a mouse with this system.
