“Is your fan noisey or run when not required? I am intersted in buying, but I want a quite machine. I don't want to have to make a bunch of modifications straight out of the box. I have seen many complaints about fan noise with this model.”

• This is the quietest fan I've ever had on a laptop and I've never even noticed it without picking up the laptop and holding the bottom part up to my ear.

• The fan is not unusually loud. It should not run when the system is at idle. Also the system should be ready to set Windows up out of the box.
