A:AnswerI use this to run AutoDesk Fusion 360, similar enough to SolidWorks (though admittedly I haven't installed SolidWorks on my device). Fusion 360 runs well on this!
A:AnswerI purchased Thunderbolt 3 (UCSB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and its working perfectly fine with mac monitor. I am very happy with my decision to purchase this.
A:AnswerI do not think it will. They seem to have newer models now. They tend to stop producing enhancements as newer laptops emerge. However, they could realize the error and correct it. Evidently they can advertise a color, but are not required to actually sell it. Time is money, get the money and move on seems to be the trend.
A:AnswerIt does not have a ThinkPad - style docking station. There are several USB 3.1 combo devices which offer ethernet, USB 3, MicroSD, VGA, HDMI, and so on.
DO a Google search on OWC USB-C Dock to see an example of one.
A:AnswerNo. You will damage your laptop with any adapter that is not made for your model. Lenovo does not appear to have a travel adapter, The battery runs out in about 4 hours on power saving mode. If you want something that will be good for travel I recommend a tablet. The Lenovo Yoga is really just a laptop with touch screen. It is useless, in my opinion, as a tablet. It claims to be one but the screen, even with a stylist does not respond well in tablet mode. (I believe this is more the OS than the tablet).
A:AnswerI bought with an Citi bank Costco visa card that extends the one year warranty two years. American Express had it on their Costco card and I bet they have it on another card or cards now.
A:AnswerNo, this is a North American model. The warranty is only valid in North America. You might check with Best Buy about purchasing an extended warranty that may be applicable internationally.
A:Answer1 yr basic warranty. They offer an upgraded warranty up to 3 years with accident protection and on site repair for about $180 which I got and personally believe is well worth it
A:AnswerThere are generic 15.6" screen protectors available, not one specifically made for this model. Any case made for a 15.6" laptop will work. No pen is included, but the screen is compatible with an active/digital pen. This system has a Thunderbolt 3.1 port.
A:AnswerAlmost any machine made in the last 8 years will process a 4K video, it is just a matter of performance. I edited a 4K video from my wife's Panasonic camera on a 2009 Apple iMac with 4-core i5 and 12 GB of RAM. It worked but was it ever slow. An i7 processor (which has special instructions for video rendering) is key as well as a modest amount of RAM, 16GB is sufficient. An Nvidia video card and (depending on the software used), the more cores, the faster. Note that more CUDA cores does not increase quality, just video rendering speed.
A:AnswerI am considering returning mine because it does have the issue. Personally I would return it before you spend the time and effort to set it up.
A:Answeryes, you have to get an nVMe drive. There are screws in the bottom to open it up, there are a tear down images online if you really want to know.
A:AnswerIf color accuracy is important to you then you need a calibration device. I currently use the Spyder5Pro but actually any calibrator will make a tremendous improvement, even a used model that is a few years old as long as the software is supported on Windows 10. Previously I used a Spyder3Pro and upgraded for no really good reason, it "seemed" to do just as good a job. To save even more money, get the more basic model. There are several other brands that will work fine, I only have experience with this one.
A:AnswerI'm not sure what you mean by iron gray...I have the silver that looks iron gray to me. I bought it at Best Buy just before Christmas. Love it!
