For some reason Lenovo disabled that function on the only Thunderbolt 3 port on this laptop. It's a deal breaker since I wanted to use this with a dock... there is not a usb c adapter in the box. It's their huge square proprietary charger

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The USB-C adapter functions the same as any other power cord . It is the only power cord supplied with the laptop. According to the specs, the USB-C port cannot be used to power other devices. There are, however, 2 other USB ports and a lightning cable port. I leave the laptop plugged in all the time at my desk unless I travel with it.
