  • QuestionHow can I turn off the function that allows the laptop to start up when opening the laptop (“Flip to Start”)? Looked online and it says to do it Lenovo Vantage, but it isn’t there on my version of Lenovo Vantage.

    • Answer Hey PoiDog, Since the Yoga Slim 7x and other ARM based system feature a different Lenovo Vantage configuration, to enable or disable this feature, you can do so in the setup utility program for the PC's firmware. In other words, this can be done in the system BIOS. To enter the BIOS, power the laptop on from being shut down, and as soon as you see the Lenovo logo appear on the screen, repeatedly press F2 until you see the utility program's interface. Select Configuration from the menu listed, then navigate the bottom and here you should see the option to toggle the Flip To Start feature. This could be caused by a number of things, so to start, let's see if this is a software or firmware-based issue: We recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. You may need to repeat this process several times for all updates to populate and then be applied. If after updates the issue persists, this may be a hardware-based problem. If this is the case, we then recommend contacting Lenovo Support online at pcsupport.lenovo.com to submit a PC service request or over the phone at: 877-453-6686, to work with a representative who may help by providing a solution for you.
