- Answer To maintain your filter, we recommend cleaning the pre-filter (outer layer of the filter) using a soft brush or vacuum hose every 2-4 weeks. However, please do not use water or liquid to clean the filter, as trapped water particles may lead to mold growth or mildew odors. Either way, it is encouraged to change the filters after about 6-8 months of use or at your discretion.

- Answer An air purifier works differently from a fan. It pulls air from the room through vents and sends it through a three-stage filter to remove dust, allergens, bacteria, smoke, and odors. After filtering, an internal fan pushes the clean air out of the top. Its main job is to purify the air, not to circulate it like a fan.

- Answer To reset the "check filter" indicator on your air purifier, please power on the unit and hold down the filter light icon for approximately 5-7 seconds. This will turn the light off and reset the timer.

QuestionIs this ozone free and can it be used in the same room as oxygen concentration tank?

- Answer Aside from the PlasmaPro models (which have an optional plasma function), all Levoit air purifiers are ozone-free and do not produce ions. Please note that the PlasmaPro models also have ozone-free versions on our website (Core 200S, 300S, 400S, & 600S). They work purely mechanically by drawing in air and filtering it through our 3-stage filtration system.

For best results, we recommend minimizing the source of the smell as best as possible first. The air must also pass through the filters a few times. Please also note that the Core 300 needs to be plugged into a 120V power source to operate.

- Answer Levoit filters do not contain fiberglass. They use PP and PET composites, and the activated carbon filter's main material is coal.
