- Answer LMHM2237ST is stainless steel, LMHM2237BD is BLACK stainless steel - that's the only difference.

QuestionI currently have a 10 year old LG microwave oven that needs replaced because I mistakingly turned on the oven (empty) instead of the timer. I am wondering if this LG s cabinet mounting holes would line up with the holes we drilled for the previous LG

- Answer If you didn't buy the extended warranty offered thru best buy, then you need to contact the manufacturer. If you did buy the extended warranty, then call the toll-free number listed on the warranty brochure.

- Answer I am no expert but I would think that would be a waste as you are paying extra for the ventilation this unit offers. I don't think that would work inside a cabinet.

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry with regards to the installation openings for the LG - 2.2 cubic foot Over-the-Range Microwave, Model # LMH2235ST. The minimal allowable opening between cabinets is 30" and the minimum allowable distance from the cooking surface to the bottom of the cabinet is also 30"...IFV

The certification comes from Intertek’s Electrical Testing Labs. Like UL, Intertek is an OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory with the goal of creating safe working and living environments. They provide assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services. Both UL and ETL certifications are acceptable proof of a product’s safety. - Answer No, I was told there are not trim kits for microwaves.

- Answer There are some L shaped metal fillers you can get to fill 3” gap in each side. GE makes a few of them to match the oven finish or no name “universal” that do the same thing. The other option is to fill the gap by installing a custom built wood pieces. Either way, options are available but I think the best option is to get the right size oven for the opening; it would look better and easier installation without spending extra $$$.

QuestionHow many inches from the top of the microwave case to the bottom of the rear wall mounting plate? I have a tile backsplash, and I need to figure out if I'll need to cut away any tile. I have 15-1/2 inches between the cabinet and the start of the tile.
