“Does it need to be hooked up to a water line for the ice maker and are the sides of the fridge stainless steel colored? The specs say there is an ice maker. Was wondering whether water line needed or if a manual fill. Have heard that some fridges have stainless steel look only on the front and different color on sides.”

In order for your ice maker to work, it would need to be hooked up to a water line. The sides of this fridge are a gray color that is not a stainless steel finish.

It is stainless on sides, too. And yes there is an ice maker with water line - it's a great system that takes much less space than my older refrigerator & it's fast & efficient! Nice feature.
