This refrigerator has to be plugged into a dedicated grounded electrical outlet rated for use with this product (115/127V ~ 60Hz, AC only) protected by a 15 or 20 Amp circuit breaker...^IFV

    • Answer The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 21.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFCS22520S has a factory installed automatic ice maker that has a power switch on it. Make sure that the power switch is set to on. It takes about 12 to 24 hours for a newly installed refrigerator to begin making ice. The first ice produced may include particles or odor from the water supply line or the water tank. Throw away the first few batches of ice (about 24 cubes). This is also necessary if the refrigerator has not been used for a long time...^IFV

    • Answer In the ice holding box under the ice tray a lever extracts and senses produced ice amounts which activates the ice making mechanism. There is also a switch to disable ice making entirely and and button that quick releases the ice tray into the ice holding box within the freezer drawer.
