A:AnswerI have that problem-right side up against wall, door opens 90 degrees. I have to remove lower door trays, then clear the middle shelf so I can tilt it up and pull drawer out and then tilt up steeply to get it out. It works fine, but do have to empty drawer and other items from shelf and lower door shelf. We shopped a long time for fridge that we could use with that door-to-wall issue, this was one that we could deal with.
A:AnswerIce maker is above the tray when drawer is closed, and remains stationary while drawers slides out, making getting to the ice very easy. The wire bar you refer to is not present on this model, but it never gets over full so must have some other clever method of "knowing" when tray is full. Per instructions, we let it fill up for a day or two, emptied, then all is good. That rids the machine of factory residues. Cubes are about 3/4 inch square, smaller than regular ice cube trays make.

A:AnswerI just measured ours in an effort to answer your questions. Bottom of doors to floor = 28 3/8 inches. As for clearance for doors to be able to remove large bottom tray, I would say you need about 8 to 9 inches of flat wall on each side. We have that problem here. Our fridge sits with a wall on the right side, preventing the right door from opening wide enough to remove the lower drawer, as well as the right produce door. If I remove the items on the shelf above the produce drawers and remove the lower right door trays I can lift the shelf and tilt the produce drawers up and out. Then I can lift the lower shelf and tilt up the lower drawer and get it out. This requires also removing all the food/bottles/containers from all these areas first, so we obviously do not clean under the lower drawer unless something has spilled. Otherwise, I just wrap a soft cleaning cloth on a yard stick and swipe under to clear out a few crumbs or whatever. BTW, we love this fridge. Silent running, food lasts longer than old fridge, even delicate lettuce stays fresh until we finish it all rather than getting soggy or icy like old fridge. The dual freezer drawer arrangement is very nice for our needs too.
PS: I bought a Clearly Filtered inline filter to add externally to pre-filter the water of far more impurities than the LG filter so I will not need to keep my Clearly Filtered pitcher on the counter. Less clutter. Really pure cool water right from the fridge.
A:AnswerYes! In fact, I was instructed to empty the first few trays of ice (and the first two gallons of water) to get the air out of the line, but also to get the effects of the filter!
A:AnswerYou will need a Copper or PEX Tubing, ¼ in. outer diameter, to connect the refrigerator to the water supply. For more information, please see page 18 of the owner's manual for Connecting the Water Line.
