“Annoying and stressful humming sound Recently purchased the above mentioned refrigerator and was wondering if the annoying constant humming sound I hear is normal, It is very disturbing while sitting in the kitchen and trying to carry on a conversation, also noticed by guests wo are visiting, sometimes deafening. It seems to be more constant than not . We did take out the insurance rider and was wondering if we should call service. A reply is appreciated”

We regret to read that your LG LG - 24.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless/Stainless look Model # LFX25974ST is making a constant humming noise. While that constant humming noise is normal, your description of it being "deafening" is not and if the unit is still under the manufacturers' warranty, you would be well advised to contact the LG Customer Interactive Center at (800) 243-0000 and speak to a Call Representative who may assist you trouble shooting the unit and if it is determined that a service is necessary, they can set that up for you. If it is out of warranty, if it was through Best Buy, then contact the Geek Squad Services to set up a Service through that warranty...^IFV
