• No. water spots, but I do use a spot free additional item that I purchase at Walmart. It is inexpensive and comes in a small basket that attaches to the top dish/cup basket away from fan blade to give spot free dishes and silverware. Can be found in the dish wash section of grocery section, ask for help, if you are unable to locate product.

• You have to use a rinse agent, because this unit doesn't have a heater element to help dry dishes.
