• Yes this monitor does work in g-sync compatible mode. Due to Nvidia recent driver release.

• No it does not. It supports FreeSync which means you MUST have a graphics card in your PC that is an AMD brand that also supports Freesync. If you own an NVIDIA graphics card, Freesync will do nothing for you. Gsync usually makes the price of the monitor go up be several hundreds as it is a physical piece of hardware inside the device, where Freesync is software based,
