• PCM is usually associated with lossless uncompressed 2 channel audio while LPCM is more commonly used when referng to multichannel lossless uncompressed audio streams. PCM can carry surround sound but it cannot do so over an optical cable. The optical cable can only carry stereo PCM. To send surround PCM, you'll need to use the HDMI port on the LG SN6Y 3.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X...^IFV
