QuestionTold by LG to program my Directv remote so it would operate all functions, including volume and power. Tried to do that but no luck. Per Directv tech support, not all TVs are compatible with my Directv universal remote! Is that true of my new LG??

QuestionI got set up through DirecTV but volume function won't work on that remote; I have to use LG remote to adjust volume. I changed batteries on DirecTV remote in case those were starting to go but that didn't help. All other functions work on that remote.

- Answer No, you do not need a Wifi connection to use just the TV. However you will need a Wifi connection if you want to watch shows that are on Netflix. A Wifi hotspot will work with this TV.
