Yes it can..it has its own FPS setting which also help TONS. It is perfect for gaming. I’ve had mine for about 2 months and I am glad I went with this monitor. I play WoW and destiny, mostly, sometimes Diablo. It is excellent for gaming. Although it doesn’t have speakers i still highly recommend this monitor, also it has the free sync that syncs up with my AMD graphics card, the photo I took just doesn’t do it any justice.

This Monitor is made to work well with a AMD Graphics Card. True gaming monitors have higher refresh rates 100+Hz and, the response time is somewhere between 1 to 4.
