Our SenseClean System automatically sets the water level and wash time for each load based on the weight of the load. The WT7100CW has a Water Plus feature that allows you to add extra water to the wash cycle for better wash performance (stain treatment) with large or bulky items. ^CP

The only choice you have is to use the Deep Fill option, which will fill it to the brim no matter how many items you have in there. So, a machine that is supposed to save water causes you to use more. See the user manual for how to use Deep Fill, and write to LG about their lousy machine. It should allow the customer to choose Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large fills so as to not waste water.
