Hi Patsy. You can connect either a DVD Player or a VHS Player to the LG 43 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV w/AI ThinQ® (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43UM7300PUA but not both at the same time. If you click on the thumbnail image of the TV with "+10 images" on it, on the page that opens up, you can click on the third thumbnail image in the right column to see the connection ports in the back of the TV. The color-coded ports on the back are what is referred to as a Shared Composite/Component Video port.If your DVD player has Composite ports (i.e.Red/White/Yellow RCA Barrel ports) you can connect the Yellow port to the Half Yellow/Half Green port on the left and connect the Red/White ports to the Red/White ports on the right on the TV. If your DVD player uses Component ports (I.e. Red/Green/Blue RCA Barrel ports) you can connect the corresponding colored ports on the TV and plug the Red/White audio ports to the Red/White ports on the right. The connection for your VHS would be the same as those for a DVD that uses Composite ports...^IFV
