“does this tv support wireless headphones? I've tried connecting wireless headphones to my tv, but they do not seem to work. Do I need a wired pair only? I tried connecting via both the digital optical and the headphone jack. The digital optical worked, but the sound quality thru the headphones was very poor (like being under water). The headphone jack did not work at all. I did go to the Sound Out setup to select "headphones" and also tried "external speakers" - no luck. Any help is very much appreciated.”

Thank you for your inquiry. The LG 49" Class (48 1/2" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HDTV - Model # 49UB8500 only supports LG Bluetooth headphones but you can check if other Bluetooth Headsets might work but there are no guarantees. You will need to access the Menu to pair the BT headphones and you can do that by following Home -> Sound -> Sound Out -> LG Sound Sync (Wireless). There you will find a list of compatible headphones although it only shows LG BT headphones...IFV
