“Is the 3D feature forced or can you turn it off? I do not want to be stuck watching tv, movies, or games in 3D so it would be nice if that feature not be on at all times, thanks!”

The 3D feature on all LG TVs including the LG - 49" Class (48-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV - Model # 49UB8500 is a selectable feature so you are not stuck having to watch just 3D content. LG's line up of 4K Ultra HDTV offers you the same picture quality with the smart features in models that do not have the 3D feature so that you're not paying for a feature you don't need! The 49UB8200 is such a model! It is a "Smart" TV but does not have the 3D feature in it!...IFV
