Hi NoOne, Yes, the 49" LG 120Hz, Smart, 3D 4K Ultra HD (2160p) LED HDTV, Model 49UB8500 has an Auto Volume Correction feature that uses audio logic leveling to prevent extreme spikes in volume (these are usually caused by commercial breaks)!...IFV

Please try again later.If you're using the internal TV speakers that come stocked with it there is no problem, however if you're using any external speakers, bar speakers, Bose 5.1 surround sound it is known to happen, and happens to me all the time, you have to play with the surroundsound system Options, it's great when you're watching a horror movie and something suddenly pops up or breaks at least you can say that made you scared, but it's very tedious late at night when you do not want to wake up your partner or the family and you have it at such a low level to barely hear the voices and then something loud comes on.. Regardless is a surroundsound issue not a TV this to be is amazing recommended future ready
