QuestionFor the digital audio optical output, does it output the signal in dolby digital to support 5.1 surround? Asking specifically for Sonos Soundbar with sub/surround setup. I had an OLD OLD LG TV and it did support 5.1 surround, which was nice!

QuestionDoes this model have Variable Audio Output. I asked this yesterday and found out how impressed someone was that the TV remote will control a Vizio soundbar. I need to know if changing TV volume changes level out of headphone & digital outputs.

- Answer Yes the remote volume control did work with my Vizio sound bar perfectly. I did still need to turn on the Sound Bar with its RC.

- Answer So, it has the option to use your soundbar (vizio 5.1 system i have) with the tv volume, and the remote for the TV works with the soundbar. yes, VIZIO soundbar, LG tv, remote controls the volume on the soundbar AND the tv, and when the TV volume isnt set to on (in settings) the tv does not change volumes.

- Answer There really is no difference. If you compare the specs side by side on LG website they are identical. I have the 49uh6030 and I'm very happy with the picture. The sound is decent thru the built in speakers although we don't use them. We have it connected to Bose surround sound. Easy to connect to wifi and Netflix 4k is AWESOME!

QuestionWhat is the standard wall mount dimensions for the LG 49UH6030 TV?

- Answer Gary29; I mounted this tv in the space I had mounted a Samsung 40" previously. There is not much bezel at all. The edge to edge dimensions are: 43.5" x 23.25" BUT...I had to purchase a new mount!! The mounting screw holes on this tv are much wider than the 40" I replaced and my older Sanus mount would not work. I spent $99.99 on a newer Sanus mount. I hope that helps. COLKWJ

QuestionI took delivery of a TV set LG 49UH6030...and I have been trying to set up the TV to broadcast TV channels within my location (Ghana) ... I tried toggling between the location list but still no results from the channel scan... Please help

- Answer This TV will not work in Ghana. The TV Broadcast System used in the U.S. for digital Over-The-Air Broadcasts is the ATSC Standard and this ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4K UHD Smart LED TV - 49" Class (48.5" Diag), Model # 49UH6030 is designed to be used in the U.S. and has three built-in tuners that are compatible with the standards used in the U.S, an ATSC tuner, an NTSC tuner and a QAM tuner. Ghana uses a different standard for digital TV Broadcasts, is uses the DVB-T and DVB-T2 standards which will not work with the tuners in TVs released for the U.S. market...^IFV
