  • QuestionThe appliances are 39” each, so one might think 78” total height. But if the dryer sits on top of the washer, do the dryer’s feet come off, thus reducing the height, or does the stacking kit add some amount? Need total height due to limited clearance.

    Asked by Sawmill.

    • Answer Hi there, Sawmill. Thank you for reaching out with your question about the height when stacking your LG WM6700HBA Front Load Washer and its corresponding dryer. We understand that clearance is important when planning your appliance setup, and we’re here to help clarify this for you. When stacking the dryer on top of the washer, the dryer’s feet do not come off—they remain attached to the unit. However, the stacking kit itself does add a small amount to the total height, as it is designed to securely hold the dryer in place above the washer. Based on the standard height of each unit being 39", the stacking kit will increase the overall height by a few inches. For a stacked setup, you can expect the total height to be 79", depending on the specific stacking kit you use. The stacking kit itself adds minimal height, but it ensures stability and safety for the stacked units. Please keep in mind that exact dimensions may vary slightly depending on installation specifics. To make sure the setup works within your space, we recommend double-checking your available clearance and considering the added height for the stacking kit. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm6700hba-front-load-washer#pdp_specs If you need any further clarification or assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and we’d be more than happy to assist with your setup. • QuestionMy washer seems to have a strong vibration during the spinning phase. Does anyone else have this issue?

    Asked by Trevor.

    • Answer Thank you for reaching us regarding LG Washer. If your LG WM6700HBA washer is vibrating strongly during the spin cycle, here are some simple steps to fix it: 1. Remove Shipping Bolts • If your washer is new, make sure to take out the shipping bolts that secure the tub for transport. Move the tub forward and backward; if it moves freely, the bolts are removed. If not, take them out and cover the holes with the provided caps. 2. Level the Washer • Check if the washer is level. Gently rock it from corner to corner. If it moves, adjust the leveling feet until it’s stable. A level washer helps reduce vibrations. 3. Reposition Laundry • An unbalanced load can cause vibrations. Stop the washer, evenly distribute the laundry in the drum, and restart the cycle. For large items like blankets, use the bedding cycle to minimize vibrations. 4. Check for Foreign Objects • Look inside the drum for any items like coins or hairpins that may cause imbalance or noise during the spin cycle. 5. Inspect Shock Absorbers • If the problem continues, check the shock absorbers, which help control the drum's motion. If they are worn out, they may need replacing. 6. Ensure Proper Installation • Finally, make sure the washer is on a solid, level surface. If the floor isn’t firm or the washer is on a slippery surface, consider using non-skid pads under the leveling feet to keep it stable. • QuestionIf I stack a compatible LG dryer on this unit, what is the height of the exhaust vent? I have an exhaust vent installed in the wall with a fan to vent out to the rooftop of my condo. I want the vents to meet without a turn or bend.

    Asked by koc.

    • Answer Hi there. To ensure proper ventilation when stacking a compatible LG dryer on top of the LG WM6700HBA washer, it's essential to maintain the correct height for the exhaust vent. Typically, for optimal performance and safety, the exhaust vent for the dryer should be positioned as close to the top of the dryer as possible. You may download the Owner's Manual from this link: https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wm6700hba-front-load-washer The exact height of the exhaust vent will depend on the specific model of the LG dryer you plan to stack with the WM6700HBA washer. To obtain accurate information about the height of the exhaust vent for your specific dryer model, we recommend referring to the installation instructions provided in the dryer's user manual. ^Jolly Additionally, when installing the exhaust vent, ensure that it meets local building codes and regulations for venting appliances, especially in a condominium setting. Proper ventilation is crucial for the efficient operation of your dryer and for maintaining indoor air quality.
