QuestionHow far in front of the TV will this protrude when using it with the base that accompanies the OLED C9 base (65")?

- Answer We had an issue that when the sound bar sat in front of the TV, the sound bar covered the power button and part of the bottom of the TV. So my husband built a small wooden box that we put under the TV to elevate the TV . The sound bar is about 6 inches out from the TV. I was not happy that this was the only solution we could think to make it work. On the LG website there is a very nice stand on the page, but no way to purchase it. Someone else posed the same question, where to purchase and it was a-prop used for the photo only. Our setup is on a stand not wall mounted.

QuestionDoes LG have any plans to add support for Dolby Vision passthrough to the 10YG?

- Answer The LG SL10Y 5.1.2 Channel Sound Bar w/Meridian Technology & Dolby Atmos, Model # SL10YG supports 4K Passthrough. 4K Passthrough is a feature that allows a video source to pass unaffected through the Soundbar to a 4K TV without any processing. If that signal is carrying a Dolby signal that has dynamic metadata or an HDR10 signal that is carrying static metadata, it will pass through unaffected as will any video created with Chroma Subsampling, be it 4:4:4, 4:2:2, or 4:2:0. The Soundbar also has an HDMI 2.0 In and an HDMI 2.0 Out, both of which are HDCP compliant and most, if not all receivers that are HDCP 2.2 compliant will allow 4:4:4 color signals to pass through unharmed. ^CP

QuestionWhy does this say 7.1.2 and 710w ? what the difference between this model and LGSL10YG which is listed as 5.1.2 and 570 w ?

- Answer It becomes a 7.1.2 when you add the rear speaker kit. 2 surround rear speakers and a wireless transmitter that plugs into an a/c outlet. There are speaker wires that run from the transmitter to the two speakers. I believe it adds about 140 watts more to the entire system giving you the 710w.

QuestionWill the quality of sound from the LG - 5.1.2-Channel 570W Soundbar be effected if the TV (LG OLED CX) is connected to a full motion mount (SANUS BF213) and the soundbar is sitting four inches below on a table stand. The SUNUS mount can extend 13".

- Answer The LG SL10YG 5.1.2 Channel 570W Sound Bar w/Meridian Technology & Dolby Atmos is not a Music Flow Soundbar and even though it supports Bluetooth, it does not transmit Bluetooth signals it only receives them so it cannot be paired with the LG 20W 2.0ch P7 Music Flow Portable Speaker, Model # NP7550 which also only receives Bluetooth signals...^IFV

- Answer Wire hook up is easy, make sure you get a good HDMI cable and connect to HDMI ARC from tv or Dolby Atmos won't come up on sound bar. Wi-Fi connection is more involving but Google's Home app guides you through the process.

QuestionIt appears there are two locations on the bottom of sound bar to affix the supplied mounting brackets. The instruction manual only references one set, is the other set an alternative acceptable for use?

- Answer There are 2 connection points under the soundbar. Once you affix the mounts to the wall, you will place the soundbar on the mounts and then attach 1 small screw on each side to attach the soundbar. There may be different instructions depending on wall type (drywall vs concrete)

- Answer Another brand or manufacture of Subwoofer cannot be paired with the LG - 5.1.2-Channel 570W Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos with Google Assistant. Only a Subwoofer that is designed for compatibility with the Soundbar will work (i.e. the original Subwoofer or a direct replacement)...^IFV

QuestionI have the SL10YG and OLED65B6P. I want to use my roku ultra to be plugged into the hdmi input and then run the hdmi output to tv via ARC. However, I'm only getting sound with no picture on the TV. Is there something I'm missing here?

- Answer I asked around and I've received different answers. Some say hdmi arc, some day optical. I never use bluetooth unless it's to my phone or ipad for music. Never to the tv for sound.

QuestionWhat is the best way to connect my LG OLED, Fire stick and SL10YG for best sound quality? I know Bluetooth is the easy answer, but there is definitely lag in the sound via this method.

- Answer The fire stick has no physical audio outputs. So the next best option is plug the stick into one of the sound bars 2 hdmi inputs and plug the sound bar into the tv. Make sure you use the tv ARC hdmi input which is hdmi 2 on the lg oiled to control the sound bar and stick with the tv remote. I have an Apple TV and use that method to get Both Dolby vision and Atmos sound out of my setup.

- Answer Unfortunately I’ve had my new LG TV and sound bar for about 3 weeks and have not taken them out of the box yet. So I’m not sure if it will. You can always mount a long shelf onto the fireplace to hold the sound bar, if that is something you care to do.
