How do iconect a blue ray and directtv to the bar null

HDMI 2.2 cable for both. Optical if that’s your only choice.

If your tv has a fiber optic plugin it's the best and easiest way.

I connected sound bar to LG OLED TV via HDMI ARC cable. Works well. My BluRay player connects to the TV via separate HDMI cable, and of course the audio transmits through the sound bar just like the audio from my cable box programming does (on its own HDMI connection).

You would want to connect the Blu-ray player via HDMI. The SK9Y only has one HDMI input so both a cable box and a bluray would not be able to have both connected at the same time. The SK10Y has two HDMI inputs if you want to connect both directly to the soundbar for 4K and Atmos passthrough. The other option is to connect your accessories all to your TV and connect the soundbar to your ARC HDMI input; however, this is more likely to cause the video and audio to become out of sync.
