A: Run the cable box and DVD player to the TV’s HDMI inputs, connect HDMI ARC on the TV to HDMI ARC on the sound bar and make sure HDMI CEC is turned on in TV options, and sound bar input is set to OPT/ARC. This will let the TV remote control everything seamlessly and you can put the soundbar remote in a drawer.
Q: Will this LG soundbar work with a Samsung tv?
A: As long as it has an optical or hdmi arc connection it will work.
A: The SK9 is the 2018 model, The SK10 is the 2019 model. The "C" at the end of the model number I believe is for the Costco unit which is otherwise identical. The SK10 is much wider than the SK9. It has some new features like Meridian sound that I wouldn't use, and is hard to find discounted. The SK9 is now selling for about half of what it cost last year.
Q: If I have the SK9Y hooked to my LG UJ7700 with the HDMI, will that TV work with the Dolby Atmos?
A: Yes, the soundbar will play Dolby Atmos when connected to the TV through HDMI/ARC. ^CP
