“Do you still like your washer? For those who have bought it over a year ago- how do you still like it? I heard most washers nowadays are are of cheap plastic components (gears, etc) that expand, loosen or break over time. I'm considering a Speed Queen brand because of this (they're commercial strong but for home use, but it's way more expensive (2,400+)..anyhoo, this LG would be my next option but am worried about all the plastic.. thoughts? problems?”

Ft. 14-Cycle Mega Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer - Graphite Steel Model # WM8000HVA is the control panel and I suspect this will be true for most if not all washers. The PCM cabinet on the WM8000HVA is a kind of compound metal sheet rolled with color coating. The base metal is composed of a layer of 0.3mm ~ 1.2mm thickness of cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, or aluminum alloy plate and other metal sheets. The advantages of this are that you get colorful coating, with wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, oil-resistant, easy-wash properties and best of all, a quality unit at a very competitive price...IFV
