“How deep is the tub? My niece has a top loading Samsung and I can't reach the bottom of the tub. I have read that hers is not the only model that people under 5'5" have trouble with in this way.”

The depth of the tub is 26.5 inches (from the top opening).

Please try again later.check it out in a store, especially if you have smaller items that will end up on the bottom (I'm 5'8 and have to work for those last few socks) it is not only the 26 inch drum depth, but the fact that the machine is almost 38 inches high, you then have to reach over the front area AND the drum is 20 inches or more wide with a basically flat bottom...you can chase things around forever if you cannot grab it but, I would far rather have this than a front loader
