• Read the manual. Select picture, play with the settings. Direct, zoom, widescreen ECT.

• If you are watching standard def cable then this is most likely your issue. When watching HD channels the picture should expand to fill the entire display.

• I have the same problem with ours. It has a settings menu that you can access but this does NOT fix the problem. Take it back spend the money and get a good tv this one is junk!

• Hit the * Button on the remote to adjust picture. The reason you have extra space on the screen is probably because you are watching something in an older format something broadcast in 480p or a VCR or something.
