Is the brightness function adjustable? null

Yes. Both brightness and OLED light are adjustable. One can set these in the APS or expert picture modes. Out of the box, the picture seemed a bit dim. I used the APS picture mode and set OLED to 80 and brightness to 65 (contrast 100, sharpness 25). Picture now is great for me, both in a reasonably bright (daytime) and somewhat dark (night time) room.
