The power cords must fit into the correct type of outlet and amperage, and the type of outlet may vary from house to house. Therefore, manufacturers choose to exclude power cords from the packaging to ensure compatibility with the user's home setup. Depending on your local building codes and regulations, or in their absence, with the latest edition of the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70, you can use a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL-listed range cord with closed-loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends, or similar termination.
